Ponce de Leon, that ruthless Spanish conquistador (who stood 4'11") was on a quest for the fountain of youth and can you believe he actuall found it? Yeah, us either. But we went anyway to the Fountain of Youth where old Poncie supposedly found the nectar of everlasting life. We drank from the promised well and immediately felt... sick from the sulphuric stench of the water. Oh well, I guess we'll see if it really worked if we live to see 100 (the life expectancy during Ponce's time was 23 years old and so when he lived to see 60, he was convinced he'd found the real fountain of youth!). Oh, p.s., Columbus did not even land in America, he landed in the Caribbean Islands. I don't know why we all have the notion that he landed in Plymoth Rock.

Sounds like you need to rewrite those history books Nicolette! So Jamestown isn't the oldest city in the United States after all?
